Typographic Book
Exploring the Caslon typeface
Background
In a journey to learn more about the history and art of typography, I created an accordion book for the Caslon typeface. First undergoing in-depth research on the history of Caslon, I then created a narrative to engage and educate my audience on my findings. Additionally, I set specific constraints of using solely black and white and using no images to allow my focus to remain on creatively showcasing the typeface. My story revolves around a character who is applying for a job, Mr. C, to illustrate the font's classic and professional design.

Reflection
I found this project to be both very educational and entertaining. There were multiple challenges that I had to face, including utilizing positive and negative space, creatively using letters, and being able to build a cohesive storyline along the way. This project was also my first time experimenting with Adobe InDesign, which was a rewarding experience for me.
